1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy describes how Glory.tv handles personal data when you use the Windows recorder, website, public capture pages, uploading, and sharing features. The operator of Glory.tv determines the purposes and means of this processing and acts as data controller where applicable.
Before public release, the operator’s legal name, physical address, and a working privacy contact should be published here. Privacy enquiries can currently be sent to the contact form.
2. Information kept on your device
The application stores recordings, clips, screenshots, thumbnails, local-library metadata, hotkeys, recording settings, and consent choices on your computer. This local material is not sent to us merely because it exists. It leaves your device only when you choose a feature that requires transmission, such as Share.
3. Information processed by the Service
- Account and authentication data: internal user identifiers, display name, account status, hashed access tokens, allowances, and token-use timestamps.
- Shared capture data: the video and audio you choose to upload, title, source filename, media type, file size, duration, dimensions, frame rate, provider identifiers, processing status, timestamps, expiry, and view total.
- Technical and security data: IP address, request time, requested path, browser or application information, errors, and operational server logs.
- View measurement: when a public capture remains visible for the configured delay, the server combines IP address and browser information with a secret to produce a pseudonymous viewer hash. The application database stores the hash rather than the raw IP address for deduplicating views.
- Communications and reports: information you provide when requesting support, reporting content, or exercising a legal right.
4. Why we process information
We use information to provide recording and sharing features, authenticate users, enforce upload and storage limits, process and deliver video, count deduplicated views, prevent abuse, investigate errors, respond to reports, comply with legal duties, and protect the Service.
Depending on the context and applicable law, processing is based on performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent. You may withdraw consent for optional bandwidth sharing at any time without disabling recording.
5. Public sharing
A capture shared through a public link can be viewed by anyone with that link and may be copied or redistributed by others. Titles and associated metadata may also be public. Do not upload personal or confidential information that you do not want others to see.
6. Providers and international processing
We disclose data only as needed to operate the Service, comply with law, or protect rights and safety. Bunny Stream processes uploaded video and related delivery data for upload, transcoding, storage, and playback. Hosting, infrastructure, monitoring, and security providers may process limited technical data. If you separately enable bandwidth sharing, the bandwidth-sharing provider processes device and network information under its own privacy policy.
These providers may process data outside your country. Where required, appropriate transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards should be used.
7. Retention
Shared captures are currently configured to expire after 30 days unless deleted sooner or retained where reasonably necessary for a legal, safety, or dispute-related purpose. Failed and abandoned uploads are cleaned up automatically. View hashes are normally retained only for the deduplication window, currently 24 hours, plus the cleanup interval. Account, security, support, and operational records are retained only as long as needed for their stated purposes and applicable obligations.
Deleting a share requests deletion from our video provider and removes the related service record. Copies may remain temporarily in backups, caches, or provider systems until their normal deletion cycles complete.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of personal data. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority. EU and EEA users can find their supervisory authority through the European Data Protection Board.
To make a request, contact the contact form. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Security
We use measures intended to protect information, including hashed authentication tokens, prepared database statements, bounded upload permissions, provider-side processing checks, and limited view identifiers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your application and credentials protected and notify us of suspected misuse.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. Users must also meet the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country or use the Service with appropriate parental or guardian authorization. If you believe a child provided personal data improperly, contact us so it can be reviewed.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as the Service and legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions, rights requests, or privacy concerns can be sent to the contact form.
